Modular Home Builders Association recognizes Zarrilli Homes and Excel Homes project as Home of the Year 2014

Spring Lake, NJ – The Modular Home Builders Association is pleased to announce a Spring Lake, New Jersey Project by Zarrilli Homes and Excel Homes as MHBA Home of the Year 2014. It was chosen by MHBA members and fans from among the excellent Home of the Month recognitions from the previous year.

Manufactured by Excel Homes, a custom modular home manufacturer located in Pennsylvania, this home was shipped in three-dimensional, volumetric modules to its site in New Jersey, where it was placed and finished out by Zarrilli Homes, LLC. This Spring Lake home was manufactured to national code standards, exceeding both local and state code standards. It uses more lumber in construction than site built homes, allowing it to withstand winds up to 120 miles per hour. This is important to homeowners whose community was damaged by Superstorm Sandy only two years ago.

The custom designed home features over 3,000 sq. ft. of living space with 4 bedrooms (including a luxurious master suite with sitting area and walk-in closet), 4 baths and a detached garage. The home also highlights third floor bonus rooms and a superior walls basement using an innovative precast concrete wall system.

G. Anthony Zarrilli, Founder and President of Zarrilli Homes, says of the recognition: “This is truly a reflection of all the hard work and dedication of our entire Zarrilli Homes staff, as well as the team at Excel Homes.”

At MHBA, Executive Director Tom Hardiman states, “We were extremely pleased with the quality of entries for this year’s competition and proud of all the members who were recognized for MHBA’s Home of the Month competition. This home exemplifies why we feel that modular construction is the preferred method for building high quality, high efficiency homes in a reduced timeframe.”
