The MHBA Modular Home of the Month for April 2016 Discovers “Where The Ocean Meets the Bay”

MANTOLOKING, N.J. – The Modular Home Builders Association (MHBA) proudly announces “Where the Ocean Meets the Bay” as the April 2016 Modular Home of the Month.

After borough residents expressed skepticism on the building of a modular home in Mantoloking, New Jersey, Atlantic Modular Builders worked with Excel Homes to create a uniquely luxurious home. “Where the Ocean Meets the Bay” highlights how a modular home can be customized to fit into neighborhoods of any caliber.

Built offsite and set onsite in just 4 months, this 2-story home features 5 bedrooms with 5 bathrooms. The homeowners and their frequent guests easily socialize in the 3,400-square-feet floor plan of their new summer home.  The open-air kitchen has a large island with seating, making it the perfect gathering space for family and friends to come together. The kitchen opens up to the living room and also has a window that folds open to a deck outside, creating a comfortable flow from room-to-room. The simple bedrooms and spacious third-story loft create a home away from home on the beach.

“Where the Ocean Meets the Bay” is not only a luxurious modular home, but also thoughtful and practical in its architecture. The home was built in an area that was devastated by Hurricane Sandy requiring special attention to be paid to potential extreme weather conditions. Atlantic Modular Builders elevated the home on a piling foundation with break-away walls surrounding the piles to create a closed garage/storage area for the family to use.

The Modular Home of the Month showcase is an opportunity for MHBA member companies to display their projects to architects, engineers, contractors, developers, owners, students, and more. MHBA selects one home each month to be featured on social media and our website. They will also receive a badge to include on their company website to showcase the home as a Modular Home of the Month winner.
